New Poster!

My brain works and arranges things by color. It's much easier to find things if they're arranged by color. Clothes, stacks of envelopes, icons in my computer dock, even the apps on my iPhone are arranged properly by color.

And my bookcase is certainly no exception. The bookcase is one of my favorite things in our home. So to celebrate my love for it, I've included it in the photos for my new poster! This is the first screenprinted item in the JetKat Shop and we couldn't be more pleased. You need this poster. People need people and beautiful posters, too.

Opaque white ink printed on French Paper (color: Fuse Green, 100# cover weight), the print measures 12.5 x 19 inches. It is the print only and unframed. Check it out in the Etsy Shop.

If you like bookcases as much as I do, check out i suwannee, with a featured bookcase everyday!! So inspiring!

If you want to learn how to screenprint, check out Andy Kane's workshops! I took his class in SF, but he offers them in other cities! Cool!!

Earth Baby comes to SF

I'm so excited that Earth Baby has come to San Francisco. We've been using compostable diapers since the babe was a wee one, but haven't been able to actually compost them! So we're thrilled that Earth Baby has moved up the peninsula and is now servicing SF. Check out their website for more information.

Friday Finds: Maps

I love maps. I had the best map ever, one of the old schoolhouse pull down maps, but it was clobbered in the move from Georgia. It was one of two things that was ruined due to careless packing on their part. Oh, I miss that map. Since I've been dreaming about maps, I've decided to make the first installment of Friday Finds about maps.

First up is the ever swank Ork Posters. They've made several city neighborhood posters. Obviously, I'm partial to the San Francisco one.

Next up is Soft-Maps from Haptic Lab: They are handmade quilted maps of Brooklyn neighborhoods and parks that represent someone's unique place in the city. This one is of the Fort Greene area.

Third is just a sweet little relic, a Market Street Railway Company route map of SF from 1943.

Vintage Stamped Notecards

Yay- more stamps! I've put together another collection of blank notecards & envelopes and paired them with a unique collection of vintage stamps. The stamps have enough postage to last through a few more USPS rate increases! You'll receive the collection of 4 different cards!

•purple stamps on a chartreuse green envelope with a light green round card
•blue-ish stamps on a stone colored square envelope with a turquoise card
•pink & green stamps on a square pink envelope with a light green round card
•yellowish stamps on a long kraft envelope with a long yellow card
I've just added them to the JetKat Etsy shop
