My New Favorite Stationer

As you may now know, I'm no longer creating stationery suites for weddings, etc. It was great for 6 years, but after the birth of my son, it became very difficult to keep up with clients, have meetings, and meet deadlines. Now that I kind of have a handle on my boy, I'm heading back to my first love of photography! I love love love weddings and working Saturdays is very conducive to my schedule as a mom :) In fact, if you're getting married, check out my giveaway to win FREE wedding photography

The good news is that I found a great local (San Francisco) stationer who creates the most beautiful wedding invites! Her name is Kerry and she rules over at Paper Dahlia. Her work can be seen at Minted, Pressroom & Co., Big Cartel, and of course on her site! She has recently launched a few new letterpress designs that are really sweet! Here are a few photos!

Baby Shower

Last weekend I had the good fortune to co-host a baby shower for our favorite pals, Cati and Arne. Cati and I go way back to the summer 2001 or 2002, when BFF Marie and I lived on Boulevard. Cati and Marie were friends from schooling at Agnes Scott and traipsing around France together. She left for San Francisco before I did, met and married Arne (girls rock movie!!!) and now they are expecting a little one next month! Cati is unstoppable and fabulous so we were so happy to put together a shower to celebrate both Cati and Arne's awesomeness. Dino and Sierra opened their home and fed us delicious foods. Their two kids helped with decorations. I contributed invitations and Jenn brought crafts for all of us! She brought awesome fabric scraps and plain onesies for us to decorate using irons and fusible web stuff (can't remember the name of it... will update soon!). I made the eggplant one because Cati has a tattoo of an eggplant on her hip- perfecto! Everyone had a great time! Hooray!

NEW INVITATION AT ETSY

Customize these invitations for your wedding -or event! They're cost effective because the design is already done. It's quite lovely, if I do say so myself. I think you'll really like the bamboo design and striking color combination. The main color is chartreuse green with accents of turquoise and brown. The ivory paper used is 100% recycled -yay! no new trees! The text throughout the invitation set is brown. The invitation is 5×7 and the reply postcard is 4×5. LOVING THESE!

jetkatalgee2.jpg Here are some invitations I made recently for a bridal shower. It's such a great feeling when you do a project that really stands out. I loved every bit of this project. Hope the ladies at the shower enjoyed the invites as much as I enjoyed creating them! A shimmery sliver of silver peeks out from the white and blue paisley invitation design. We used fabulous dark blue envelopes with white wrap-around address labels and sealed it with those lovely Tiffany stamps. I was really pleased with how they turned out and just feel like sharing.
