Operation Nice

Operation Nice seems like such a great idea... particularly now with the economy and people upset about the arguably unfair stimulus package to help those with mortgage woes. I really like their page of reader tips!! Here are a few of my favorites. Visit this page to read the whole list.

Give at least one sincere compliment a day and it doesn't have to be much. Tell someone they have a nice smile, or you like their shoes or you envy their patience. If you look for it, you can find something positive to say about anyone.

When a waitress or other service person has been exceptional, let their manager know.

During the holidays, bring some hot chocolate or coffee to the bell ringers who are standing outside in cold weather.

Family

This is my rascally little family. They don't appear to be rascals here because they're asleep, but you'll just have to take my word for it.

The little one is the reason I took a break from the hustle & bustle of JetKat Design. He's almost 3 months old and I'd like to rejoin the land of the living now. Thanks for your patience and it's nice to be back.

Welcome back

After 12 years living in fabulous Athens, Georgia, I moved back home to California. Not home with my parents, but to make a new home with my own new little family. We've carved out a little place in Glen Park (a sweet neighborhood in the southern part of San Francisco) and couldn't be happier. Well, we could manage to be happier if some of our pals from Athens moved to SF.

NEW INVITATION AT ETSY

bamboo3.jpg

Customize these invitations for your wedding -or event! They're cost effective because the design is already done. It's quite lovely, if I do say so myself. I think you'll really like the bamboo design and striking color combination. The main color is chartreuse green with accents of turquoise and brown. The ivory paper used is 100% recycled -yay! no new trees! The text throughout the invitation set is brown. The invitation is 5×7 and the reply postcard is 4×5.
