Photographing the Everyday

Photographing the Everyday: a JetKat workshop for photographing children

JetKat Photo is excited to announce a workshop offering a more in-depth look at digital photography so that you can begin taking photos you're excited to share!

Spend the morning with me and you’ll learn how to take your camera off the automatic setting. We’ll cover lighting, composition, and getting those photos off your camera. I’ll provide snacks, inspiration, worksheets, and a cute kid model for you to practice your new skills. When we’re done, you’ll leave with a new understanding of your digital camera and will have the skills and confidence to start taking true creative control over your photographs.

You’ll benefit from a small workshop class size and an experienced teacher. I’ve been a professional photographer for almost 20 years and I’ve been teaching photography to kids and adults for over 10 years.

As part of my fundraising efforts for Camp Mighty, 100% of your class fee proceeds will be donated to charity: water.  Register HERE or click on the image below.

Sunday, December 9 • 10am • San Jose, CA • Cost $35 • class size is very limited

Bay Area Apple Picking

Adventure Thursday sent us apple picking!! We went to the Swanton Pacific Ranch, just north of Davenport, along Highway 1. It's a sweet little organic farm run by Cal Poly. We were the only ones there today, but it's Thursday and I didn't really expect to see anyone. My son enjoyed eating the apples (shocking, I know), but wasn't super into actually picking the apples. He was more interested in eating and weighing them. We'll definitely be back as other varieties ripen later in the season. Here are a few photos from our adventure. Where are your favorite "u-pick" places?
